Meet The Rx Consultant Editorial staff.

Chief Editor: Terry Baker, PharmD. Terry is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy. After graduation, she worked as a pharmacist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In 1991 she began publishing The Rx Consultant, a subscription-based publication providing drug therapy updates, patient education support and continuing education for health care professionals.

In 1995, she founded Continuing Education Network, Inc. In 2012 CEN launched Learning ExpressCE, cloud-based CE management software that serves providers of continuing education across a variety of industries.

Managing Editor: Tracy Farnen, Pharm.D. is a 1988 graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Pharmacy. She completed a Clinical Pharmacy residency in 1989 and became a Drug Information Coordinator for Kaiser Permanente. In 1994 Tracy began authoring for The Rx Consultant and soon after she joined the company as a staff writer and editor.

Julio R. Lopez, Pharm.D., FCSHP is a visiting Associate Professor and Lecturer for the Nursing Department at Samuel Merritt University, in Oakland, CA, where he has been teaching pharmacology to Nurse Practitioner students since 1996. Dr. Lopez served as the Chief of Pharmacy Service for the VA Northern California Health Care System for 20 years. He has academic appointments at the College of Pharmacy, Touro University in Vallejo, CA; the School of Pharmacy at the University of California in San Francisco, CA; and the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

Emily K. Meuleman, MS, FNP-BC practiced as a gerontologic and family certified NP for 25 years, providing primary care services in a variety of venues including outpatient clinics, home, and the full continuum of geriatric residential care settings. Her areas of expertise and interest include chronic disease management and palliative care/end of life issues. Ms.Mueleman has served as an Editorial Advisor and Reviewer for The Rx Consultant for over 10 years.

Noelene S. Moonsamy, MSN, FNP-C is an Assistant Professor & Faculty Practice Manager at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, CA, where she is a DNP candidate and teaches pharmacology to Nurse Practitioner students. Ms. Moonsamy also taught in the nursing program at Holy Names University in Oakland, CA, and served as the Assistant Program Director and lead pharmacology faculty for the LVN program at Carrington College of California (formerly Western Career College).

Catherine D. Tanner, MSN, FNP-C is an Assistant Professor at Samuel Merritt University, where she is also a DNP candidate, and a member of the Didactic and Clinical Faculty, teaching pharmacology in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Ms. Tanner’s teaching experience includes serving as a clinical Instructor for medical students at Touro University in Vallejo, CA. She has over 10 years of clinical practice experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, in areas including primary care, adult care, pediatrics and women health.
